Kathy Giori

Director of Product Engineering

Kathy Giori drives ZEDEDA’s open source community collaboration and engagement around Project EVE with a new and modern paradigm that puts openness first, commercialization second. She believes that the best way to tackle the vast variety and rapid growth of software and tools being deployed by global industry giants today (and to recover quicker from cyber attacks) is to build the foundation on open source. Kathy also volunteers for open source projects including MicroBlocks (physical computing tool for education), WebThings (privacy-respecting smart home gateway), and the BeagleBoard Foundation. In the virtual conference era she finds herself giving monthly talks, ranging from being part of the IEEE Speaker’s Bureau, to her work with open source projects, and to the TechWomen.org community of fellows around the globe.
