On May 6, 2022, the San Francisco Business Times announced the Best Places to Work in 2022. In partnership with the Silicon Valley Business Journal, 129 Bay Area companies were added to this list and received the honor as the Best Places to Work. Every year, the Business Journal and Business Times jointly publish these rankings, which are based on company nominations and employee surveys managed by Quantum Workplace. As the San Francisco Business Times states, “The companies were sorted into categories based on their number of employees.” The winners were sorted as such: 25-49 employees, 50-99 employees, 100-199 employees, 200-499 employees, 500-999 employees, and 1,000 and more employees.
We’re excited to announce that ZEDEDA ranked 8th place in the 25-49 employee category (note: the survey results were based on Bay Area employees). A handful of employees attended this event, including ZEDEDA’s co-founder and Chief Architect, Erik Nordmark, and ZEDEDA’s VP of Global People Operations, Cleo Valeroso. The event which took place on Thursday, May 5, 2022, at the Hilton in San Francisco, included the companies who were awarded and listed as the Best Places to Work in the Bay Area.
Erik Nordmark, one of ZEDEDA’s founders stated, “It’s great, of course. It’s another milestone for the company that’s not about making money, but about the people instead.”
Cleo Valeroso, VP of Global People Operations at ZEDEDA, enthusiastic to receive the award, shares her thoughts on the experience, “I was thrilled to find out that not only were we nominated but we also made the list for Best Places to Work (even though we didn’t find out our ranking until the day of the ceremony).”
She continues to elaborate, “The experience was unlike any other. The room was filled with excitement as the participants guessed and anticipated their Best Places to Work ranking within their respective category. It was nice to be in a room full of peers and companies that put their employees first.”
Cleo describes the most important qualities that companies must have to be considered as the Best Place to Work, “Other than benefits, it is how we treat people that truly matters. At ZEDEDA, we all share a great deal of trust, collaboration, and a common purpose. We work as one team, putting our customers first, striving for proactiveness, while embracing the uncertainty and exceeding each other’s expectations.”
